Lille fluesnapper

Short abstract from the book:
The red-breasted flycatcher is a very rare and occasional breeding bird in Denmark and a scarce passage migrant from mid-May to early June and in August-October. The first redbreasted flycatcher was ringed in Denmark in 1959, with the highest numbers ringed in 1985 (101) and 1987 (110). Four of the ringed birds were recovered away from the ringing site. These birds were all ringed on Christiansø and recovered further NE in the Baltic Sea: three were ringed in May and recovered the subsequent May, and one was recovered after two years. The last bird was ringed in September and recovered a year later. Two foreign birds have been recovered in Denmark: one was ringed on 31 August at Utklippan in Sweden and recovered 16 days later in Blåvand in western Jutland (almost due W); the other also migrated in an unexpected direction, from Gotland (17 May) to Christiansø (4 June).
