Short abstract from the book: Denmark is at the northwest margin of the European breeding
distribution of the black-necked grebe. The species is a rare
breeding bird in Denmark. Thirty-three birds have been ringed, most at the beginning of the 1960s. Seven have been
recovered, all outside the breeding season less than a year after
ringing. Danish black-necked grebes have been recovered in
France, Italy and the Netherlands.
