Short abstract from the book:
The bluethroat of the subspecies L. s. cyanecula is a very rare breeding bird in Denmark, breeding in southwest Jutland. Bluethroats of the subspecies L. s. s. are observed on migration in May and August-September. In Denmark the first bluethroat was ringed in 1924; in total 1,298 birds have been ringed, most in 1990 (121). Only one of the ringed birds has been recovered: this bird (an L.s.s) was ringed on 17 May 1990 on Christiansø and died the following day after a window collision in Zealand 179 km west of the ringing site. Four birds, also L. s. s., ringed on migration abroad have been recovered in Denmark, three ringed in eastern Sweden and one ringed in Norway. The foreign birds were recovered on 18 September, 13 May, 16 May and 17 May.
