Short abstract from the book: The common scoter is a frequent visitor to Danish waters.
Moulting birds are observed from June to October and many
remain in Denmark throughout the winter. Only a few common scoters have been ringed, and the recovered birds were all
found shortly after ringing relatively close to the ringing site. A
common scoter ringed in the White Sea was shot in the Little
Belt on 28 February 1976.
