Short abstract from the book: The crested lark is a very rare breeding bird in Denmark,
breeding only in Hirtshals in northern Jutland. In Denmark
165 crested larks were ringed between 1923 and 1992, but
only one of these birds has been recovered. The bird was ringed as a chick in Skagen in 1958 and found dead close by two
years later. No crested larks from abroad have been recovered
in Denmark.
