Short abstract from the book: The dotterel is a rare passage migrant in Denmark, observed
mainly in western and northern Jutland. Most birds are seen
in May. Four dotterels have been ringed, but none of these has
been recovered. One dotterel ringed as a chick in Scotland on
5 July 1975 was recovered in Denmark on 13 October 1976
– possibly a bird that had started to breed in Norway?
