Short abstract from the book: The hobby is a rare breeder in Denmark with only 10–20
breeding pairs. Passage migrants are observed in August–
September and May.
The first hobby was ringed in 1921, and in all 46 have
been ringed. Only one of the ringed birds has been recovered
outside Denmark, in southern France on 29 September. Two
birds were recovered less than 15 km from the ringing site, two
and seven years after birth respectively.
