Short abstract from the book: The serin is a rare and irregular breeding bird in Denmark
and a rare passage migrant and summer visitor. The first
serin was ringed in Denmark in 1964 and in total 18 birds
have been ringed. Two of the ringed birds have been recovered. One was ringed on Læsø on 19 May 1990 and recorded at Falsterbo on 30 May of the same year, and the other
was ringed on Amager on 12 April and found dead close to
the ringing site six days later. In addition, a serin ringed in
western Germany on 25 October 1953 was recovered on
Funen on 30 July 1954.
