Short abstract from the book: The great reed warbler colonised Denmark in the 1800s, but
is now a very scarce breeding bird in Denmark. The birds
arrive in May and depart in August-September. The first
great reed warbler was ringed in Denmark in 1924; in total
92 birds have been ringed, most in the 1920s. None of the
ringed birds has been recovered. One bird ringed as a chick
on 15 June 1993 in Sweden was recovered on 28 May 1994
on Christiansø.
