Short abstract from the book: The Canada goose is an introduced species to Denmark with
an estimated population of 25–50 pairs. During winter
10,000–20,000 are observed in Denmark.
The Danish population seems to be resident, with no
Danish birds recovered more than 20 km from the ringing
site. In Denmark, birds from Sweden, Norway, Germany
and the Netherlands have been recovered in the breeding season, indicating some exchange with these populations. Outside
the breeding season, Denmark is visited by Canada geese from
Norway, Sweden and Finland. Norwegian birds are most
common in Jutland, whereas Swedish and Finnish birds mostly visit the east of the country.
