Short abstract from the book: The long-tailed duck is a common winter visitor in Danish
waters southwest of Bornholm, south of Lolland and Falster
and to a lesser extent in Kattegat. Only seven long-tailed ducks
have been ringed in Denmark, and one was later recovered
close to the ringing site. Two long-trailed ducks ringed abroad
were reported from Denmark, both in January. One was ringed as a duckling in Lapland and shot west of Langeland, and
the other was ringed as a juvenile in western Greenland and
shot at Gedser
