Short abstract from the book: The mistle thrush breeds over much of Denmark, but is most
common in Jutland. It is a common passage migrant and a
rare winter visitor. In Denmark the first mistle thrush was
ringed in 1928, with most ringed in the second half of the
1980s. The recovered birds were ringed in May–July and
October and were probably all from the Danish population.
From Denmark most mistle thrushes migrate SSW, with
the first bird recovered in France on 19 September. During
autumn birds are recovered in Denmark (1), France (5) and
Italy (1). None of the birds ringed in Denmark was recovered
during winter. Only one bird was recovered during spring, in
the Netherlands on 20 March.
