Short abstract from the book: The ortolan bunting is a rare passage migrant in Denmark,
mainly in the eastern parts of the country in May and August–
September. The first ortolan bunting was ringed in 1923, and
in total 362 have been ringed. One of the ringed birds was
recovered. This bird was ringed on Læsø on 20 August and
recovered on 16 September the same year in Landes in France.
A bird ringed on Øland on 18 May 1972 was recorded on
Christiansø on 15 May 1975.
