Short abstract from the book: The red-necked grebe is a fairly common breeding bird in
Denmark. Only 30 red-necked grebes have been ringed and
three have been recovered, one abroad. This recovery from
southern Finland and two additional recoveries in Denmark
of Finnish-ringed birds indicates that part of the Danish
winter population is of Finnish origin. At the moment very
little is known about the migration and winter quarters of the
Danish breeding population.
