Short abstract from the book: The nutcracker is a rare passage migrant and an irregular
irruptive winter visitor. Seventy-nine nutcrackers have been
ringed and one of these recovered (1.3 %). Eight birds ringed
in Norway, Sweden, Germany and Kaliningrad have been
recovered in Denmark. The birds were ringed from 8 August
to 12 October and recovered from 13 October to 28 March,
all within six months of ringing.
