Short abstract from the book: The spotted redshank is a common passage migrant at coastal
sites, lakes and bogs in June–October and April–May.
In Denmark the first spotted redshank was ringed in 1948,
with most ringed in the second half of the 1940s. All except
on of the recovered birds were ringed on Amager, the majority
in August. Eighty-five per cent of the recovered birds were
ringed as juveniles. From Denmark the migration is S to SW. From late August
spotted redshanks have been found along the coast in the
Netherlands, Belgium and France, while others have migrated
almost due south and have been recovered in Germany, Italy,
Sardinia and Tunisia. During winter most have been recovered in France. In mid-March a bird was recovered in the
Camargue in southern France. No Danish ringed spotted
redshanks have been recovered in the breeding area.
