Short abstract from the book: The twite is a common passage migrant and winter visitor in
Denmark. The first bird was ringed in 1938, with the majority ringed in first half of the 1970s. Most of the recovered birds
were ringed at costal sites from October to May. The recoveries
indicate that the majority of the migrants that pass Denmark
come from Norway. Most birds arrive in October, and some
continue to Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. During
winter most birds have been recovered in Denmark (19) and
Germany (16); the mean position is in Schleswig-Holstein. In spring most twites pass Denmark in April.
