Short abstract from the book: The velvet scoter is a common winter visitor to Denmark,
mainly in the northwest Kattegat. Only a few velvet scoters
have been ringed, with one recovered at the ringing site a
few days later. Seventy-six velvet scoters ringed in Russia (3),
Finland (49), Estonia (13), Sweden (10) and Germany (1)
have been recovered in Denmark. The first were recovered in
September, most in October, and mainly along the east coast
of Jutland.
