Short abstract from the book: The white-tailed eagle is a rare breeding bird in Denmark
with about ten breeding pairs. The number of winter visitors
has increased in recent years. Only four white-tailed eagles
have been ringed in Denmark and one of these was later recovered: A one-year-old female caught and ringed in western
Jutland in 1980. It was recorded 20 years later at a feeding
site north of Stockholm. Two white-tailed eagles from the area
around Stockholm have also been found in Denmark. Several
white-tailed eagles from northern Germany have been found
in Denmark, some as breeders.
