Short abstract from the book: The gyrfalcon is a very rare visitor to Denmark with
only one to two observations per year. One gyrfalcon has
been ringed but was never recovered. A gyrfalcon ringed
as a chick south of Trondheim in Norway in 1988 was
found dead in Denmark in November 1995. A birds
ringed with a colour-ring as chick in 2003 in Jämtland,
Sweden, was observed in Denmark in December 2005.
